Hi there! My name is Lisa Pedace. Thank you for visiting my website. Here’s a little about me.
I earned degrees from the University of Notre Dame (B.A. American Studies) and San Diego State University (M.A. English) before moving to Italy to avoid law school.
Now I am an artist who acts, writes, and performs stand-up comedy. Although sometimes I just lounge at home in my leopard snuggie with my cat.
I’ve performed everywhere from the local coffee house (insert sound of cappuccino machine playing over punch line here) to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. My first one-woman comedy show, Looking To Upgrade: One Woman’s Search for Meaning and Nicer Things, won Outstanding World Premiere at the San Diego International Fringe Festival. My second solo show, the fictional Neighborhood Watch, has been called “A laugh-a-minute comedy” by The San Diego Union-Tribune and won a Sold-Out Award at the Rogue Fringe.
The Diet Joke, a humorous self-help book I wrote, is a Foreword Book of Year Award winner and a Dr. Laura Recommended Book.
I speak too, on hilarious topics like stress, diet and failure. Okay, maybe they’re not hilarious topics, but I make them funny. I call it “Personal Performance with a Punch Line.”
Mostly, I love to entertain people while also inspiring them to live more fulfilling lives, or at least walk more often.
